This picks up on the thread I started in the recent episode on People Pleasing, when I mentioned our habit to people please stems from our need to bolster our self-esteem, and promised an episode focussing more on that.

Since reading the book, “Birth and Death of Meaning” by Ernest Becker, I have a lot of new ideas about self-esteem and about “fitting in” to society… and about how we make meaning in our lives, full of suffering as they are.

In this week’s episode of the Creative Introvert, I’ll be diving into the topic of self-esteem, explaining what it is, why there isn’t a problem in seeking to build our self-esteem – but that there may be a better way for us to get it.
